Player Safety

Responsible Gaming at phmaca

phmaca is committed to ensuring that gaming on our platform remains what it should be: entertainment. We provide the tools, information, and support that every Filipino player needs to stay in control — because gambling is only fun when it stays that way.

21+

Age Requirement: You must be at least 21 years old to register and play on phmaca. This is a mandatory PAGCOR licensing requirement. No exceptions.

Gaming as Entertainment, Not Escape

For most Filipino players, gaming on phmaca is exactly what it should be — a fun way to spend time, enjoy a few rounds of slots after work, or catch some live casino action on the weekend. The vast majority of our members play within their means, set their own limits, and walk away when the session is over. That is the kind of gaming experience phmaca is designed to support.

But phmaca also knows that for a small number of players, gambling can shift from entertainment into something harder to control. Problem gambling is a real issue in the Philippines and worldwide, and as a PAGCOR-licensed operator, phmaca takes its responsibility to those players seriously — not as a legal checkbox, but as a genuine commitment to the well-being of every Filipino who uses the platform.

This page explains the responsible gaming tools available to all phmaca players, how to recognize warning signs of problem gambling, and what to do if you — or someone you know — needs help. All tools described here are accessible from your phmaca account dashboard, and our support team is available daily from 8 AM to 11 PM PHT to assist with any responsible gaming request.

phmaca's responsible gaming program is operated in compliance with PAGCOR's licensing requirements for player protection. Every licensed online gaming operator in the Philippines is required to maintain active responsible gaming infrastructure. At phmaca, these are not hidden features — they are on the front page of your account settings.

Is Your Gaming Under Control?

Ask yourself these questions honestly:

Do you spend more than you planned to when you play?
Do you chase losses — keep playing to win back money you lost?
Have you borrowed money or sold items to fund gaming?
Do you neglect work, family, or sleep because of gaming?
Do you feel anxious or irritable when you cannot play?
Have family members expressed concern about your gaming?

If you answered yes to two or more of these, please consider using phmaca's responsible gaming tools or reaching out to our support team.

Your Control Tools on phmaca

All of the following tools are available from your phmaca account dashboard. They are free, immediate, and enforced by the platform — no waiting, no approval process required.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum amount you can deposit per day, week, or month. Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted for that period — not by you, not by phmaca support. Limits can be decreased immediately. Increases require a 7-day cooling-off period.

Loss Limits

Set the maximum amount you are willing to lose in a defined period. When you hit your loss limit, your account is automatically restricted from further wagering until the period resets. This is separate from your deposit limit and specifically tracks net gaming losses.

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum session duration. phmaca will display a countdown timer and send you a notification alert when you approach your limit. When the session limit is reached, you will be automatically logged out. You can set a daily maximum session time from your dashboard.

Cooling-Off Period

Take a temporary break from phmaca without permanently closing your account. Choose from 24 hours, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months. During a cooling-off period, you cannot log in, deposit, or wager. The period cannot be shortened once set.

Self-Exclusion

Permanently exclude yourself from phmaca for a minimum of 12 months. Self-exclusion is processed within 24 hours. During the exclusion period, you cannot log in, create new accounts, or receive marketing from phmaca. Any verified balance will be returned to your payment method. This cannot be reversed during the exclusion period.

Marketing Opt-Out

Unsubscribe from all phmaca promotional emails, SMS alerts, and bonus notifications at any time from your account settings. Opting out of marketing does not affect your ability to use the platform — it simply stops phmaca from sending you gambling-related promotional content.

All responsible gaming tools are available under Account Settings → Responsible Gaming in your phmaca dashboard. They are free and take effect immediately (for restrictions) or within 24 hours (for self-exclusion). Contact support at [email protected] if you need help activating any tool.

Recognizing Problem Gambling

Problem gambling is not about how much money you lose or how often you play. It is about whether gambling is causing harm — to your finances, your relationships, your work, or your mental health. In the Philippines, problem gambling affects people across all income levels and backgrounds, from casual players to more frequent bettors.

The following behavioral warning signs are recognized by gambling addiction specialists and PAGCOR's responsible gaming framework. If you recognize several of these in yourself, please consider using phmaca's tools or seeking external support.

Financial Warning Signs
  • Borrowing money from friends, family, or lending apps to gamble
  • Hiding gambling losses from your asawa, parents, or employer
  • Missing bills, rent, or loan payments because of gambling spending
  • Using your payroll (sweldo) entirely for gambling before covering expenses
Behavioral Warning Signs
  • Chasing losses — playing more to recover money already lost
  • Lying to others about how much time or money you spend gambling
  • Neglecting work, school, or family responsibilities to play
  • Failed attempts to cut back or stop gambling
Emotional Warning Signs
  • Gambling to escape stress, anxiety, depression, or loneliness
  • Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when not gambling
  • Gambling feels like the only activity that brings relief or pleasure

The 21+ Rule at phmaca

PAGCOR requires all online casino players in the Philippines to be at least 21 years of age. This age restriction applies across all PAGCOR-licensed operators, including phmaca. It exists to protect younger Filipinos from gambling-related harms during formative years when financial decision-making and impulse control are still developing.

phmaca enforces the 21+ requirement through mandatory identity verification at registration. Every player must submit a valid Philippine government-issued ID showing their date of birth before their account is fully activated. Accounts where underage play is discovered are immediately closed and permanently banned.

Protecting Minors in Your Household

If you share a device with family members who are under 21, please ensure that your phmaca account is protected with a strong password and that you log out after every session. Do not allow minors to access your device while your phmaca account is logged in. phmaca recommends enabling two-factor authentication as an additional safeguard.

How to Self-Exclude on phmaca
  1. Log in to your phmaca account
  2. Go to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming
  3. Select "Self-Exclusion" and choose your exclusion duration
  4. Confirm your request — exclusion is processed within 24 hours
  5. Alternatively, contact support at [email protected] to request immediate exclusion

Support Resources

If you feel that gambling is becoming a problem, you do not have to deal with it alone. Support is available in the Philippines through qualified professionals and government-supported programs.

PAGCOR Player Protection

As the government body that licenses and regulates all gaming in the Philippines, PAGCOR operates a responsible gaming program covering all licensed operators. Filipino players who need intervention or have complaints about licensed operators can contact PAGCOR's Player Relations Office directly. phmaca operates fully within PAGCOR's responsible gaming framework.

NCMH Crisis Hotline

The National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) operates a crisis hotline available to all Filipinos experiencing mental health challenges, including those related to gambling addiction. The NCMH Crisis Hotline number is 1553 (landline) or 0917-899-8727 (mobile). Services are free and confidential.

Gamblers Anonymous Philippines

Gamblers Anonymous (GA) runs peer-support group meetings for people struggling with gambling addiction. GA Philippines operates chapters in Metro Manila, Cebu, and other urban centers. Meetings are free, anonymous, and non-judgmental. If you are looking for community-based recovery support, GA is a proven resource used by Filipinos and internationally.

phmaca Support Team

phmaca's support team handles all responsible gaming requests — including self-exclusion, account closure, deposit limit modifications, and cooling-off requests. Available daily from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM PHT via live chat and email. We respond to responsible gaming requests with priority treatment and without judgment.

DOH Mental Health Support

The Department of Health (DOH) of the Philippines maintains a network of mental health facilities and accredited counselors under the Mental Health Act (RA 11036). Public hospitals in Manila, Cebu, and Davao offer mental health services including counseling for behavioral addictions. Ask your local RHU (Rural Health Unit) for referrals.

Talk to Someone You Trust

Sometimes the first and hardest step is telling someone close to you — a family member, a close friend, your asawa — that gambling has become a problem. In Filipino culture, family support is often the most powerful form of intervention. If you are not ready to call a hotline, start with someone you trust at home.

Play on phmaca — But Always Play Smart

phmaca is here for entertainment. Set your limits before you play, use the tools in your dashboard, and remember — it is always okay to take a break. 21+ only. If it stops being fun, stop. Help is available.
